Bennett’s Legal was founded to provide excellent service for a fair fee.
We charge 90% of non-contentious (non-dispute) work on the basis of fixed fees agreed with you at the outset. We will assess your needs and then agree a fee with you.
These fees are based on the following rates:
- Paul Bennett Principal £200 per hour plus VAT
- Any other Solicitor £150 per hour plus VAT
- Paralegal and Trainee Solicitors £100 per hour plus VAT
- Stephen Parnham (Chartered Tax Consultant) £200 per hour plus VAT (Please note Stephen is a tax specialist and not a Solicitor)
- Charlotte Bateman (Solicitor) £150 per hour plus VAT
- Harjinder Gill (Trainee Solicitor) £100 per hour plus VAT
For the remaining 10% of non contentious work and for our dispute resolution work we charge hourly rates as set out above.
In addition to the time spent we charge per letter, email and telephone call at 1 unit per 6 minutes i.e. £15 plus VAT.
You do not pay twice but a detailed letter out would be 1 unit and additionally for example 12 minutes preparation.

We give a guide to overall costs but do not fix the fees (unlike in non-contentious work).

We believe our fees are fair for the expertise we offer. Whenever possible they are pre-agreed and where this is not possible then we set estimates and bill regularly, usually monthly, to keep clients informed.
